After deployment, the CO₂ cartridge must be replaced.

Generally, all you need to do is:

1. unscrew the used cartridge
2. check the overall condition of the vest
3. install a new cartridge
4. properly fold the air cushions.

Once these steps are completed, the vest is ready for use again.
